Gotta Love Personality

Our Budding Ballerina

Madeline is quite the performer and loves to dance or show her gymnastic skills whenever she gets the chance. We enjoyed watching her experience a pre-ballet class for the first time this winter. And though she loved it, if she had to choose between gymnastics and ballet, she said she would choose gymnastics. This is no surprise to her parents and yet another example to show how very different she is from her mother.

Fruit and Pasta of the Spirit

While Maddie and Jack were snacking on grapes, Fruit of the Spirit came up and they began listing them off.

Madeline: "Kindness, Peace, Goodness...."

Jackson: "Noodleness...."

Madeline: "Gentleness, Self-Control...."

And now I've got an old praise and worship chorus stuck in my head. You know, the one titled "Faithfulness", but instead the song in my head goes like this:

Noodleness, Noodleness, is what I long for.
Noodeness, Noodleness, is what I need....

View from my bedroom window: Icicles

Our latest wintry weather brought snow, frigid temps, and these rather large icicles growing off the roof line of our house. I'm not sure if that was a good thing for the structure of this old home, but they were sure a sight to behold!

Doesn't he know there are children in parts of the world who would LOVE to have this snowy experience?

At the Theater: If You Give a Pig a Party

Most of our precious little gang after the play!
Instead of "Where's Waldo?", play "Where's Jack and what is he doing with his finger?"

It was a blustery, rainy day in Louisville, but what fun a group of moms from church had taking our kids to see "If You Give a Pig a Party" on stage in downtown Louisville! It was a delightful depiction with humor enough to go around for all ages.

Marble Run

This last Christmas was the Christmas of 1,000,000 pieces.  See below for exhibit A.  I think this shows growth on my (Jayna's) part.  This marble run was also joined by a Lincoln Log set, Lite Brite set, (small) Playmobil set, and some Polly Pockets.  Mercy.

If I always had to get them clean and shiny, we'd never take pictures of them. So, there you go.

New Year's Eve Festivities at Aunt Beth and Uncle Dave's

Kids had a blast

Every fun family gathering involves back rubs

Game Time! (those are root beer bottles, btw)

Buck and Kurt, appearing to be fully engaged in family time and conversation, but...

...really watching FOOTBALL, of course.
