You caught me!

Here we are with our new friends, Mike, Hanna, Abby, and Josh. We enjoyed a picnic dinner at the sculpture garden where jazz concerts are held on Fridays throught the summer. We had a great time!

Maddie has the most fun in the kitchen with her new favorite toy: a wooden spoon, or as I like to call it, her magic wand.

On August 6, we celebrated Madeline's first birthday! We are amazed at all that has transpired over the past year. It certainly went faster than we ever imagined. She was so tiny when we first brought her home from the hospital, and now she weighs in at 23 pounds! Madeline is a blessing to our family, and we pray that God would give us wisdom everyday in how we care for Madeline and train her in His way. She is so precious to us, it almost hurts! But we're trusting God to guide us in this parenting process, knowing that He is in control more than we could ever be.
