The Heath Bar: December 2005

We had such a lovely time with Kurt's family for Thanksgiving. And Madeline loved being with her Grandpa, Grandma, Aunts, Uncles and cousins! We made some wonderful memories, as you see in the following pictures. I (Jayna) am actually posting this the Wed. before Christmas. Kurt, Maddie and I fly to Oregon on Friday to spend the holiday with my family. We pray that you enjoy this Christmas season as you spend time with your loved ones and give thanks to God for sending his son, Jesus Christ to live a perfect life on earth and die on the cross, satisfying His justice and holiness that we might have everlasting life!

On Friday before Thanksgiving, Madeline was Kaitlyn's special guest in first grade as show-and-tell. It was fun to be in Kaitlyn's classroom!

On Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I (Jayna) joined Kristin and Mom H. at Aunt Beth's house to get busy in the kitchen. That was an understatement. We were very productive as we produced a double batch of chocolate chip cookies, multitudes of pecan tea cookies, and a double multitude of buck eye candy. There were a few other items I can't remember, but be assured, they were delicious!

This is where hired help is worth the price!

Thanksgiving dinner, Take 1. This was our first installment with Kurt's immediate family. What a wonderful time it was to be with everyone for this special time! We ate ourselves into comas and played endless rounds of "Schmuck". Most importantly, we gave thanks to God for how richly he has blessed us in Christ.

Ohio State and Michigan fought hard in the civil war game this year. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I love my husband, but I'm glad we weren't able to watch it together. There wasn't any need apologies after the game for losing self-control and lack of anger management. :-)

2nd Thanksgiving Dinner. I assure you, this dinner table does eventually end. This is what Thanksgiving dinner looks like for 30 people. Disclaimer: Those are bottles of ROOTbeer on the table.

Little did we know that we were in for much more than another Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Dave and Aunt Beth's house. Kaitlyn, Amanda, and Olivia created a show to help kick off the Christmas Season. They were great!

Amanda held the beat with a rap while Olivia hammed up some beloved Christmas classics. They were hilarious!

Hey Jeff, watcha doin'? Our friend, Jeff joined us for a much-anticipated Ohio State football game. If I remember, the outcome was less than desirable, but Madeline didn't seem to care. She just likes the hats....

Merry Christmas, everyone! These new postings are long overdue, and were actually taken about a month ago when the trees were at their peak of fall glory. We hope you enjoy them. I'll let these new pics sit for a few days, but we have many more to share from our recent Thanksgiving holidy in Ohio.
