What's Next?

Well, we would greatly appreciate your prayers for what God would have for us next! This Sunday, Sept. 2, Kurt will preach at 3rd Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, and the congregation will vote on calling him to be their pastor. This has been in the works since February, and we are very excited about the possibility. The process has been slow (according to our limited understanding of time) and difficult at times, but God has been good to us, and seems to have been patiently teaching and preparing us for such a transition. We are so grateful.

If you could, please pray for us in the following ways:
1. That God would provide a godly pastor and shepherd for 3rd Avenue Baptist Church, whether that be Kurt or someone else.
2. That Kurt would be faithful in his preaching on Sunday
3. Safe travels and good health
4. Patience for Jayna while he's away
5. Finally, that God's will would be done with our house and provide the right renter/buyer

What a great time we had with Jayna's extended family for a reunion on Lake Coeur d'Alene! It was a wonderful blend of relaxation, fellowship and fun catching up with family, meeting new members and making memories.

A Picnic Dinner at the Botanic Garden

Back in June, Kurt's Mom, Sister, Nieces, and Aunt graciously drove all the way from Lima, OH to take care of Maddie and Jack while we were in Louisville, KY on church business. I don't think we could thank them enough!!! Not only did they take such good care of this kids, but I came home to a clean house! It was such a blessing to not worry about the kids, knowing they were in such good care. And Maddie and Jack were beside themselves having so much fun!
