Louisville, Here we Come!!!!

Well, we have an announcement to make! Kurt has been voted in as 3rd Avenue Baptist Church's pastor in Louisville, KY! It's a bit overwhelming, but we can't wait to get there! Although we've been in contact with 3rd since February, we've been praying about being in full-time ministry and the way to get there for about 5 years, since we were married. At one point, we tried to get to Louisville where Kurt would work full-time and go to seminary. That seemed like the logical thing to do, so when God didn't open the doors for that to happen, we were quite discouraged. After all, we were sure God was calling Kurt into full-time ministry. So we prayed in a different way. We prayed that God would make it possible for Kurt to pastor a church where he could also work on his M. Div. It seemed like such a long shot, and not what most churches are looking for in a pastoral candidate. However, isn't God good to keep us on our toes and kindly show us He is in control and can make anything happen that He chooses? So, here we are, our specific prayer answered in the way that we had hoped.
Now, there is only one hurdle to jump before we can set up shop in Kentucky: Our house needs to sell. The 'For Sale' sign went up today, and we officially go on the market tomorrow. So here is how you can pray:
1. Pray that God would quickly provide a buyer for the house, and that we can sell at a good price
2. Pray that we would be able to manage the house and family well as we will need to be prepared to show it to potential buyers.
3. Pray that God would be protecting us in the transition, and bring much glory to Himself through it all.
