These are a few of my favorite things....
Here are a few of Jayna's must-have books for your library:
Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot
This is one of the best devotional books of all time! And don't let a female author throw you off; Keep a Quiet Heart is equally appropriate for both men and women. It is very reader-friendly and packs in great meditations without having to read volumes in one sitting.
-
Disciplines of a Godly Family by Kent & Barbara Hughes - This should be a standard in any parent's library along with Don't Make Me Count to Three (Plowman) & Shepherding a Child's Heart (Tripp). It gives a great balance from thinking "Christianly" about family, to loving discipline, to establishing tradition, and more! As of right now, it seems to be one of the most useful books on parenting we have, and the section on Advent Season is wonderful! Many thanks to Aimee for the recommendation!
