These are a few of my favorite things....

Here are a few of Jayna's must-have books for your library:

Disciplines of a Godly FamilyDisciplines of a Godly Family by Kent & Barbara Hughes
This should be a standard in any parent's library along with Don't Make Me Count to Three (Plowman) & Shepherding a Child's Heart (Tripp). It gives a great balance from thinking "Christianly" about family, to loving discipline, to establishing tradition, and more! As of right now, it seems to be one of the most useful books on parenting we have, and the section on Advent Season is wonderful! Many thanks to Aimee for the recommendation!
Note: while the books mentioned above come with a high recommendation, I wouldn't say they are perfect in every word and example. However, they do point us in the right trajectory towards Christ, and help us to think about how we can lovingly and faithfully teach and raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

Keep a Quiet HeartKeep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot
This is one of the best devotional books of all time! And don't let a female author throw you off; Keep a Quiet Heart is equally appropriate for both men and women. It is very reader-friendly and packs in great meditations without having to read volumes in one sitting.
