Divine service conducted here three times daily
A long while ago, I received the great (and lengthy) quote below from my friend, Jeannie. I have found it incredibly helpful, especially in recent days as I strive to teach my children well, and serve my family. I might even have to make small copies and paste the quote on my spray cleaning bottles, washer & dryer, vacuum, toilet scrubber, etc. (ha! ha!)
The fact that all work is spiritual is wonderfully liberating.
We need not feel ashamed any more that our job is not sufficiently "Christian."
We can serve God whatever work we do.
That truth should free us from guilt, the kind that is especially common among parents.
They are so busy feeding throughout the night and throughout the day, changing diapers and ferrying children here, there, and everywhere that they do not have the time or energy they used to have to study the Bible or get involved in programs at church. As they look at some of their other friends who still read the Bible and pray for one hour every day and are at church meetings two evenings a week, they think to themselves: 'I'm not doing enough for the Lord.'
But, we are not serving Christ only when we are at church of have a Bible open in front of us. Parenting is Christian service; it is a job entrusted to mothers and fathers by God. That is true of all our work. It is said that Ruth Graham had a plaque above the kitchen sink at home which said, "Divine service conducted here three times daily". Perhaps it would help if you imagined such a plaque above your desk, in the library, as a screen saver on your computer or on the oven: 'Divine worship offered here.'

Inflatable Pillow=Tons of Fun! (Huber Farm)

Kurt and I got in touch with our inner child on this thing. We had the whole pillow to ourselves and had a blast jumping our hearts out! It was the perfect release after a weekend of sermon prep for Kurt. Perhaps we could arrange to have one installed behind the parsonage? (I'll try ot get action shots the next time we visit)
