Pro, Not Crow

Setting: at the dining room table. Maddie has just finished writing some letters rather well.

Jayna: "Good job Maddie, well done! You're getting to be a pro!"

Enter Jackson: (lifting his hands to his mouth as if to call out) "Caw, Cawww, Cawwww!"

Jayna: "No, Jackson. I said 'Pro', not 'Crow'." (giggles ensued)

"Mom, I think I'd like to learn how to play a big instrument like the tuba."

(I'm not entirely sure what to do with that request)

Jackson just said he wanted to play with playdough.  That is a request I can handle.

YOU can make your own hair bows! ( I promise)

I recently came across a few websites with really good (and free) instructions on how to make your own 'boutique' hair bows.  Intrigued, I decided to give it a try.  See my handiwork above?   I still need to perfect my technique, but I think I'm on to something, and wanted to pass on the tip.  To get started with my supplies, I think I spent about the same I would have spent on one large boutique-style hair bow!   This may have to be my creative outlet for now :-)
